But just as importantly, we're also real people - people with a sense of humour

Rob McCourt |
Rob was admitted in March 1974 having obtained a BA and
LLB from the University of Sydney. He established his own practice
in 1979 which in 1997 became known as mccourts solicitors.
He prefers the common-sense, no nonsense approach to the law
and outside of the office wants to lower his golf handicap to single

Gabrielle Moss |
Gabe has over 20 years experience as a Property Lawyer.
She started her career with Rob McCourt in 1986. With children
came her own business, building her reputation as a Property Lawyer
with buyers and sellers as well as Agents. With the responsibilities of
family lessening (6 children aged 10-17yrs) Gabe has come full circle
returning to McCourts as a Consultant,running the Property Department
and enjoying the social aspects of our small yet busy office. gabe@mccourts.com.au |

Michael Sciglitano |
Michael is our Insurance Law specialist having joined our team as Special Counsel
in mid 2009. His post admission experience spans more than a decade. Michael
has particular expertise working with his client insurers and their clients to provide
seamless legal and claims related services. He has a thorough understanding of
the priorities and needs of his clients and is recognised as having specific
knowledge in areas of insurance litigation including CTP, public liability,
product liability and general insurance. After a short stint in the construction
industry, he has come onboard to help Rob and take on the challenge of working
with so many women!

Lauren Rathbone |
Lauren is our CTP Solicitor. Lauren has 6 years experience
in the fields of CTP and Public Liability, having worked for Ferguson Bolton,
Hunt & Hunt and Beilby Poulden Costello. Recently returned from a stint
in Hong Kong Lauren is excited about working in the mccourts team.
She also has a young daughter and is looking forward to the balance

Helen Armson |
Helen works part time in our office as the Marketing Manager
and the other part chasing after her three boys. Her background
is in Human Resources and Child Care and she feels well qualified

Lorna Foley |
Lorna is our longest serving employee, having joined Rob
just after he started the business. She is Rob's unparalleled
Legal Assistant and the trusty Office Accountant. Her knowledge
and dedication are major strengths and she is a very

Michaela Volker |
Michaela is Legal Assistant to Lauren. Michaela completed a 12 month course
at Bedford Business College, culminating as Business College Student
of the Year in 2003. She has acquired 4 years experience
in the legal field and excels in legal terminology and possesses sound
organisational skills which are great assets to our busy office. Away from
the office Michaela enjoys poetry and writing short stories and likes to

Chantelle Astley |
Chantelle is Legal Assistant to Michael. Born and bred in Victoria she moved
over the border to complete a Certificate in Business (Legal Administration)
and commenced her employment in law. She likes the small firm culture and
is a great fit to our team. Outside of the office she likes to relax by

Irina Tsalikova |
Our receptionist Irina is the first person you will meet upon attending our office.
She has the box seat and best view of the waterfront! Having moved here from
Russia in mid 2008 she is enjoying our warm summer and soaking up all the
NSW legislation. In Russia she worked as a Translator, Flight Attendant and
most recently in an American law firm translating legal documents. In her
